Location Castagnols is a small village in the department of Lozère in the northern Languedoc, southern France, and lies at 792 meters. It is situated in the heart of the Parc National des Cévennes, a nature reserve. The closest villages and towns are Vialas 6 km, Génolhac 12 km, Florac 40 km, Alès 45 km, Nîmes 90 km. The Mediterranean Sea lies about 100 km to the south and can be reached in 2 hours.
To reach our house from the main roads: A7, A9, A54 and A75, it takes you about 2 hours to arrive here, but it´s the most beautiful part of the road. Castagnols is situated in a small side valley. Our house is at the end of a small road with gravel. There is an absolute silence. Here one does not hear traffic.

On the A 75 from Paris, Marvejols exit, at Balsièges take the N 106 in the direction of Alès and Nîmes, then at the Montmirat pass take the direction Pont de Montvert, 18 km to Vialas.
From Nîmes-Alès: at Alès take the N 106 direction Aubenas, continue on the D 906 in the direction of Genolhac via Portes towards Pont de Montvert, at Tavernole take the D 35 to the left to Pont de Montvert (at 29 km), for Vialas continue to Genolhac, then take the D 998 to Vialas.
Public transport:By train Eurostar, by air Ryanair, from London to Nîmes, then the local train to Génolhac. (number of hours?)
